Hammertoe Correction

Hammertoe is a contracture of one or both joints of the second, third, fourth, or fifth (little) toes. The unnatural bending often puts pressure on the toe when wearing shoes, which can cause pain and other problems to develop over time. The Minimally Invasive procedure to correct Hammertoe is performed via a smaller incision.  There is less shortening of the toe resulting in less disruption of the surrounding tissue, therefore the healing time is faster than the traditional method.

Most people are eligible to have minimally invasive surgery, however it is not for everyone. Some deformities are too large to be corrected using minimally invasive techniques. A consultation with Dr. Cramer will allow you to discuss this in detail and decide which method of foot correction is appropriate for you.
